Scott is Founder of the Boom! - a consultancy that powers newly appointed executives to create disproportionate impact and value at pace. He is an award-winning business leader with a background in advertising and marketing. He led turnarounds, rapid growth teams and global excellence hubs all in some of the world’s most creative, challenging and demanding cultures. What is your golden rule?
Unblock, Unlock, Unleash.
Who has been your biggest influence?
My mum. The greatest cheerleader ever. Always had open arms, huge hugs and heart powered wisdom. Well chosen words at the choicest of times. A woman who inspired thousands, encouraged us all and lived a truly positive life.
What is your most hated business expression?
Reaching out to touch base on synergies.
What’s the smartest business idea you’ve ever had?
Creating a brand through which people can explore and explode their desire to create impact.
Which leader do you admire most and why?
Nelson Mandela. I saw him impact a whole room for the rest of their lives simply by dancing.
What keeps you up at night as a marketing leader?
How do I continue to power up as many ambitious leaders as possible with the Boom!
Why is being part of The Marketing Society important for your career?
Networks are incredibly important in any career. Listen to them. Learn from them. Work with them. Connect with them. Have fun with them. That’s what The Marketing Society is great at making happen.
What does the word impact mean to you when it comes to marketing?
Delivering a disproportionate amount of value back to all of my audiences in a way that causes positive disruption and business unusual returns.
