The Marketing Society, the global community of visionary marketing leaders, announces significant leadership changes across its Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) operations, positioning the organisation for continued growth throughout the region.
Mohammed Ismaeel Hameedaldin, previously Dubai Chair and Partner at TOUGHLOVE Advisors, will step into the newly created role of Chair, GCC, focusing on expansion into Riyadh while overseeing hubs in UAE and KSA. As a Saudi national with extensive marketing expertise, Mohamed is strategically positioned to lead The Marketing Society's next growth phase across the region.
Amina Taher, previously Chair of Abu Dhabi and CMO at Wio Bank, will assume the role of Chair, UAE, overseeing both Dubai and Abu Dhabi Emirates. Taher's proven leadership in Abu Dhabi and passion for developing marketing excellence across the UAE makes her an ideal choice for this expanded responsibility.
Supporting Amina will be two Vice-Chairs: Faheem Ahamed, Group CMO at G42 in Abu Dhabi, and Aly Tawfik, Area Marketing Director at Red Bull in Dubai. Both are current board members bringing valuable expertise to the leadership team.
These changes come as Khaled Ismail, former UAE Chair, steps into a new global position as Chair of International Hubs at The Marketing Society. Created by CEO Sophie Devonshire, this role will support chairs across international hubs including Hong Kong, Singapore, New York, UAE, and soon Riyadh.
Reflecting on his seven years with the UAE board, Khaled said: "I've been inspired by our journey—helping to take this fantastic 65-year-old organisation, and not only launching it in the region, but growing it into a thriving community of 550+ influential marketing leaders."
Khaled will remain active in the UAE community while focusing on his expanded global responsibilities, which begin March 1.
