Cara started her marketing career at United Distillers, followed by Scottish & Newcastle / Heineken, rising to Innovation Director. After a foray into the world of coaching and consultancy while her children were young, she became Marketing Director at Whyte & Mackay before moving to Sainsbury’s Bank to lead development of the brand and innovation strategy. After a stint as European Marketing Director at Baxters, she is now on an exciting new journey with International Beverage, the Spirits division of Thai Bev, as Global Marketing Director for their Scottish brands, including Old Pulteney & Balblair single malts and Caorunn Scottish Gin. As well as a passion for brands (especially in drinks!), Cara is a qualified Coach, mentor and Fellow of the Marketing Society, and is passionate about developing leadership in those starting out in their careers, as well as supporting women to achieve leadership roles alongside their family lives.
