Let’s just raise another glass of champagne to the future of the planet.

Glittering reception after glittering reception has been endured by the world leaders at COP27, but they are leaving action till terrifyingly late in the day. 


400 private jets took world leaders to COP27. Dark Irony there. Simply not doing that, would have made an immediate difference. Both in terms of carbon emissions, and in the clear example it would have set. 

But why change your behaviour eh? It’s only our children's future right? The sad fact of the modern world is that where governments fail businesses must act. We must step up. Businesses and their brands are more agile, and more exposed to the opinion of the people. We have to matter more than once every four years. We also have better and swifter mechanisms for response. 

Patagonia literally wears their heart on their sleeve, by proclaiming ‘vote the assholes out’ on their labels. Ben & Jerry’s honour the activism of ‘taking a knee’ with their ‘Change the Whirled’ flavour by Colin Kaepernick and look at the Black...
