The Marketing Society is a progressive global community of senior marketers. Our purpose is to empower our members to be brave leaders.

Since 1959, we have grown into an influential network of 3000 members across our seven hubs in London (HQ) Scotland, Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai, India and New York. Our membership profile is predominantly client-based (over 70%) covering a wide range of sectors, including many international brands such as Apple, Barclays, Dimension Data, HSBC, IHG, L’Oréal, Mars, Samsung, Unilever, Vodafone and Wells Fargo.

Everything we do is through a brave lens – pushing boundaries, tackling taboos, providing comfortable spaces to have important conversations and building meaningful connections. We speak up, inspire one another, share best practice and discuss the challenges and opportunities we face. We work together to make our industry better for business and better for the world around us.

Pioneering Spirit Awards
Launched in 2012 and developed as a source of inspiration for marketers around the world, these awards take the form of a series of global dinners that judge inspirational campaigns

New York

Launched in 2017, our New York hub is the first location in our North America expansion. We currently have 75 members from leading brands such as Diageo, Metlife, Verizon and AIG. We bring our network together with a programme of eight events aligned to our purpose of empowering brave leaders and our unique formats which have been well received in the market – including Under the Spotlights and fishbowls, with our conference rounding off the year. More


Launched in 2016 our Dubai hub now has over 200 members from brands such as Unilever, Majid Al Futtaim, Emirates NBD and Microsoft. We curate a programme of 12+ events per year around the topics that matter for the MENA region, while partnering with events such as the Dubai Lynx and STEP to provide more value. We were delighted to launch our OnesToWatch programme and Marketing Leader of the Year in 2019. More

Hong Kong

Launched in 2014, Hong Kong was our first global hub outside of the UK and over the past five years we have grown the network to 90 leading marketers from brands such as HSBC, Cathay Pacific, Standard Chartered and Mercedes. We run 10 events per year and are delighted to launch a new series in partnership with Facebook for 2020. More


Launched in 2015 our Singapore hub has over 75 leading marketers from brands such as Shell, Mars, Salesforce, P&G, GSK and more. On top of our programme of 10+ events per year, we also run our professional development programme – the Marketing Leaders Programme, run in partnership with Brand Learning, and our Brave Conversation series in partnership with The Drum. More


Launched in 2017 our India hub (based in Delhi) has an intimate community of 20 of the most senior marketers from major organisations, including Philips, Facebook, Vodafone and Kyndal Group. We have a programme of six events per year including Provocative Dinners, Under the Spotlight, Brave Conversations and our flagship conference. More
