Attending The Marketing Society Changemakers Conference at the Museum of the Future was an incredibly enriching experience for me. The day was packed with fresh perspectives, bold ideas and deeply human stories that truly stayed with me.
While the insights on AI, adoption curves and technology transformation were powerful especially the reminder that mastering what you already have is more impactful than chasing the “next big thing”, what resonated with me even more was the raw honesty around entrepreneurship.
Listening to the founders speak about failure, resilience, and rebuilding, especially Charlie Wright’s vulnerable story about hitting rock bottom before creating Humantra, was a reminder that challengers and entrepreneurs face difficult moments every day, yet they still choose to keep going.
The message of never giving up on yourself, even when you give up on ideas, was one of my biggest takeaways.
But the most emotional part of the conference for me was Zayne’s session. His story, energy and authenticity brought the room together in a way that statistics and strategy never could. It was a powerful reminder that marketing is ultimately about people, about emotion, humanity, and connection.
The Conference reinforced three core truths
Your marketing mindset is your leadership edge
It's not something to leave behind as you grow.
Adoption beats innovation
Success is about upskilling, discipline and using existing tools smarter.
Perception creates value
Change how people feel, and you change the outcome.
To sum up, the Conference was an inspiring, thought-provoking and emotionally grounding experience that will shape how I approach my work and leadership going forward.
