Syl is a globally renowned marketing leader known for her empathetic mentorship and strategic acumen. She is an Executive Coach to C-suite leaders using her extensive experience across a variety of sectors with deep expertise in navigating international business and cultural dynamics.
Previously, Syl served as Chief Marketing and Innovation Officer at Diageo, where she led global brands, Innovation, Media, Digital Planning and R&D. Her career highlights include pivotal marketing and general management roles at Allied Domecq, Gillette, and the Holson Burnes Group, a Bain Capital company.Beyond corporate roles, Syl has contributed as a nonexecutive director at Domino's Pizza Group, served on the executive committee of the World Federation of Advertisers, and chaired the investment committee at Distill Ventures.She is a former President of the Marketing Society and currently chairs the prestigious Excellence Awards. Syl devotes significant time as coach, board and faculty member for the Marketing Academy Fellowship program which in partnership with McKinsey, helps CMOs to become CEOs.  She co-founded the hugely successful Marketing Leadership Masterclass, which has impacted the career advancement of thousands of people across the globe.Recognized with the Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in the Queen’s 2020 Birthday Honours List for her contributions to business and workplace equality, Syl continues to drive meaningful change and empower leaders worldwide.
