Ian has a proven track record of delivering innovative and impactful solutions for a diverse range of clients. As the co-founder and CEO of Studio Something, a multi-award-winning agency based in Edinburgh, he leads a talented team of creatives, strategists, and producers who share his vision of making life less boring. Ian’s passionate about creating meaningful and memorable experiences that connect with audiences, challenge conventions, and inspire action.

At Studio Something, Ian oversees the creative direction and strategy for all projects, from concept to execution. He has worked with some of the world's most iconic brands, such as The NBA, Diageo, Coca-Cola, BBC, and Channel 4 as well as social causes, such as See Me, United to Prevent Suicide, and Creative Scotland. He has also been involved in executive producing TV shows for broadcasters such as A View from the Terrace for BBC Scotland among others. Some of his most notable achievements include sending a teacake to space, creating the Binder app that went viral, and being nominated for a BAFTA for work with Island Records. Ian was also The Marketing Society Inspirational Agency Leader in 2019.
