We are delighted to be back in the room and making waves with a mixture of old favourites, like the Ogilvy Lecture and the Clients vs Agencies Creative Challenge, as well as a couple of exciting new formats.
Our Amplify Marketing Festival will return to the University of Edinburgh Business School on Thursday 25 August during the Edinburgh Festival.
The event is now sold out! If you would like to be added to the waiting list please email us.
The Ogilvy Lecture - 1pm
The Ogilvy Lecture is our way of expressing our enthusiasm to preserve and promote David Ogilvy’s legacy. As a proud and passionate self-claimed Scot, and one of the most famous names in advertising, David Ogilvy is an inspiration to many in our industry.
This year we have an incredible speaker lined up in Sarah Warby, Chief Customer Officer at Nando's. Sarah will be introduced by Paul O'Donnell, outgoing Chairman of Ogilvy EMEA.
Starting her career as Brand Manager for Unilever, Sarah lived in Australia for a while before taking on roles as Marketing Director at Heineken, CMO at Sainsbury’s, helped to launch a FinTech start-up, became CEO of Lovehoney and moonlighted as a welder in South Wales. She’s also currently a Non-Exec Director at Moneysupermarket plc and Chair of the Marketing Academy Fellowship alumni council.
Celebrating Craft - 2.45pm
Central to great marketing is a well-crafted idea. At this exciting new addition to Amplify we will celebrate the craftmanship involved in bringing great ideas to life. The writers, the photographers, the film-makers. At this event we have a mix of leading and rising creative talent in Scotland.
