From human rights journalism to stand-up comedy, multi-award-winning broadcaster Zara Janjua has a career spanning the whole gamut of TV, radio and film. The writer, producer and filmmaker worked on This Morning on ITV, she sits on the ethnicity advisory council for NatWest Bank, played a journalist in ITV’s Karren Pirrie and films humanitarian documentaries all over the world - from Guatemala to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. She recently delivered a keynote to an audience of 16,000 in Melbourne for Rotary international and was a finalist for a United Nations Women Award. In between all of that, she is a columnist, BBC presenter and has reported for the New York Times – she even writes and performs political satire as an impressionist for BBC’s ‘Noising Up’. Zara was highly commended at the Woman Of The Future Awards for her work and was named Impact Freelancer 2023.
