Christian joined Virtugroup in 2018 where he heads up marketing for Virtuzone and Next Generation Equity. Founded in 2009, Virtuzone's mission is to remove the complexities of setting up a company in the UAE while Next Generation Equity provides citizenship and residency-by-investment services. Prior to this role, Christian worked at Aramex, Emaar and Nshama.
What’s your golden rule?
Surround yourself with people who possess the knowledge and skills that you lack - being it employees or external business partners.
Who has been your biggest influence?
My parents. They have taught me invaluable lessons on integrity, work ethic, how to treat people and so many other things that have benefitted me personally and professionally.
What is your most hated business expression?
Turnkey solution. Luckily, I hear this expression much less than I used to. What happened to “end-to-end solution”? Just call it what it is.
How can marketers be braver?
Be honest and transparent. If you’re not, then consumers will eventually call you out for it. As a brand you cannot hide. Technology makes it easier than ever before for consumers to research your company and products as well as comparing you to your competitors.
What’s the biggest risk you’ve taken in your career?
Quitting an interesting, safe and stabile job for a multinational company in Copenhagen to move to Dubai.
Which leader do you admire most and why?
I admire Steve Jobs for being able to disrupt industries and for rising again after being ousted from the company he founded – only to come back, save it and make it the most valuable company in the world. I don’t admire his people skills though (or lack of).

Tell us a secret?
I dream of one day starting my own company designing and producing socks. I am a bit of a sock fan.
