Each year 30 of the Marketing, Advertising, Media and Communications industries best talent are selected to undertake this 9 month, part time and completely free development programme. Sherilyn Shackell, Founder of The Marketing Academy said: ‘Our aim is simple; we want to equip marketing leaders to take their rightful place in the Board rooms of the future. The programme runs from May 2017 to January 2018 and covers the 4 P's development modules;
PROFESSIONAL Development - Become an exceptional marketer. Skills development in marketing strategy, digital transformation, innovation, leading creativity, behavioural economics, customer insight, future trends
PERSONAL Development - Become an extraordinary human being. Unleash potential, build confidence, challenge beliefs and change behaviours, improve performance, supercharge communication skills
PEOPLE Development - Become an inspirational leader. Build high performing teams, inspire phenomenal results, boost leadership skills
PURPOSE - Become a change maker. Understand 'purpose' in every context, pay forward learning into chariy sector, be an ambassador for change
The Scholars receive 3 residential ‘boot camps’ and 4 lectures as well as one-to one mentoring from some of the UK’s most high profile CEOs, CMOs, Agency Presidents and entrepreneurs, as well executive coaching and bespoke learning from industry leading businesses. Mentors include Keith Weed, CMO Unilever; Cilla Snowball, Group Chairman of AMV BBDO; Peter Duffy, CCO of EasyJet; Kristof Fahy CMO Ladbrokes; David Pemsel CEO Guardian Media Group

The Marketing Academy UK was founded in the UK February 2010, Australia in 2015 and is launching in the USA in 2017. It is a non-profit and voluntary organisation that develops leadership capability in talented marketers within Marketing, Media, Advertising and Communications industries through mentoring coaching and experiential learning.
Potential Scholars first need to be nominated and senior business leaders are asked to nominate their high potential talent via www.themarketingacademy.org.uk by 20th February. Following nomination, individuals are invited to apply for the Scholarship and take part in an intense three stage selection process in order to be offered a place which begins in May 2017.
