The Marketing Society announces Fellowships for 2022

Many congratulations to all our newly awarded Fellows, we were absolutely delighted to award these outstanding members of our community with our highest accolade in recognition of the important contributions they have made to our industry.


The Marketing Society Fellows 2022

Each new Fellow has not only achieved significant success in the markets they’ve worked in and been changemakers in their fields, they have also made active contributions to The Marketing Society and marketing as a whole. They are the people who continue to give back and add to the future of our industry, helping to raise awareness of the positive impact marketing makes in our world. 

So here they are – our 2022 Marketing Society Fellows: 

Steve Challouma - General Manager UK & Ireland at Birds Eye 
A well respected, passionate and experienced business leader within our industry and a valued member of the Society who has twice been a judge at our Awards.

Michele McGrath - Chief Client Officer at UKI Accenture Song
With over 30 years in marketing, Michele is a very proactive member of our industry. She has also led the Marketing Leaders Programme for five years.

Chris Freeland - Executive Chair of RAPP
A long-standing supporter of the Society and a hugely important and influential champion of diversity and inclusion within our industry. 

Phil Barden - MD of DECODE and author of 'Decoded. The Science Behind Why We Buy'.
Phil has been a valuable member of our community and the Society for many years and he was instrumental in creating the membership model strategy.

Dino Myers-Lamptey - Founder The Barber Shop, Co-Chair of The Alliance of Independent Agencies 
Dino was part of the 2022 Brand of the Year judging team and has great insights and indepth knowledge of the industry. He recently founded Diverse Speakers.

Becky Brock - Commercial & Customer Director at Costa Coffee
A highly regarded Society board member and part of the judging team for our annual awards. She is a former The Marketing Society’s ‘Young Marketer of the Year’.

Jason Chebib - GM The Americas at System1 
A hugely important member of the team who launched and helped to grow The Marketing Society in New York, he has been a founding board member since 2017. 

Michelle Froah - SVP Global Brand & Marketing MetLife 
Michelle has been an important part of the Society in both Singapore and NYC and is currently Co-Chair. She’s a very experienced marketing leader and an influential Society member who has also spoken for our Marketing Leaders Programme.

Andrew Au - China based Chief Strategy Officer and Global Board Member of brand experience agency Uniplan 
Andrew was Vice Chair of The Marketing Society Singapore for over four years and made huge contributions including new members, partners, speakers and so much more. 

Chris Marsh, Managing Director. Carat 
Alongside his impressive career, Chris has also been an advisory board member and student Marketing Society mentor as well as speaking at many Marketing Society events.

Natalya Ratner, Marketing Director of Robotical
A passionate marketer with experience across the private and public sectors, 
Nat is also a member of The Marketing Society Scotland Advisory Board, is a Star Awards judge and she mentors Future Leader members. 

Neil Skinner, Marketing Director of Edrington UK 
Neil is an outstanding marketing leader and a huge supporter of the Star Marketing Student Award. He is also an active member of our equality, diversity and inclusion taskforce. 

Jane Strachan – Director of PUNK & Bright Signals
Her career encompasses both agency and client-side and also founding two award winning businesses. Jane is a previous member of the Advisory Board, chaired Inspiring Minds and took part in the 2020 virtual Amplify Marketing Festival. 


Honorary Fellowships go to:

Fran Cassidy - Owner, Cassidy Media Partnership and marketing and advertising Consultant
A former board member who has been an incredibly important member of The Marketing Society for over 25 years not least as our highly successful Annual Conference producer for more than 20 years.

Hamish Swan
Hamish’s long and many impressive career in our industry has included many notable achievements such as being the very first main board Marketing Director at Tennent Caledonian Breweries. He has been a dedicated supporter of the Society having been a member since the early 1960’s.

Sarah Warby Chief Customer Officer at Nando’s UK & IRE and a NED at Moneysupermarket Group.
Sarah’s varied marketing career includes stints at Unilever, Leo Burnett and Sainsbury’s and Lovehoney. A proactive Society member, she delivered an inspired Ogilvy Lecture at this year’s Amplify Marketing Festival.
