Mike Piggott

Contributing Editor, The Marketing Society

Mike was Digital, Content & Social Media Manager for The Marketing Society for six years (2013 to 2019), managing writers, digital development, content and social media. In 2018 he relaunched the Society's awards website, the The Marketing Society Awards.

At the end of 2018 he launched The Marketing Society's podcast channel, organically growing it to over 20,000 listens in two years.

In 2019 he became Editor. That year he relaunched the Society's main website (marketingsociety.com) and launched new digital publication Empower. He also launched a professional development website, the Marketing Leaders Programme - a joint initiative between The Marketing Society and Brand Learning (part of Accenture).

In March 2021 he joined the freelance world, and now does gigs for the Society as Contributing Editor, helping them further develop their content by way of podcasts and publications. This also included upgrading the Society podcast channel to a new platform.

In his spare time he writes and performs spoken word and is halfway through writing his first feature-length screenplay. He also once came second in a Creative Review competition to rewrite Trainspotting's famous 'choose life' speech.
