Michael studied architecture at Glasgow School of Art, practised for a bit, then decided it wasn’t for him.
He won a writing competition for The List magazine and ended up on the Perrier Panel at the Edinburgh Fringe. Then started to write comedy, penning sketches for Smith & Jones, amongst others. Advertising seemed the logical next step. He got a job as a copywriter and has been Creative Director at The Union since 2008. "Why did the chicken go to the séance? To get to the other side. I’ll get my coat."
