James Smyllie is the Founder of Taman Warna Pte Ltd, a Singapore-based marketing solutions and AdTech company, and the creator of Ungu, an AI-powered media planning platform. 

With 25 years of experience in the media industry, incl 20 in Asia-Pacific, James has deep expertise in digital and offline media planning and buying, audience understanding, and data-driven marketing strategies. He has worked extensively with major agency holding companies incl Publicis, Dentsu and WPP, building partnerships with some of the biggest brands in the world with a focus on big tech - Google, Amazon, Microsoft.   James is currently focused on integrating AI with industry-standard data sources to transform how brands plan and buy traditional media. 

He is also an active member of The Marketing Society Singapore, where he contributes to membership outreach and community building. When he's not reimagining AdTech, you'll find him training for his next half marathon on the streets of Singapore.
