TRENDSPOTTING

Trendspotting: Creativity

University of Strathclyde, 15 September, 9:30am to 12:30pm

Following on from our Trendspotting Strategy session in June, we're pleased to announce Trendspotting Creativity, held on Thursday 15th September at Strathclyde University, will look at the following themes:

Creative Ideas: We will consider “The Power of a Big Idea” in an age of fractured media. How to create comms with cultural impact when many messages are now tailored and delivered to individuals? And how to balance brand-building with performance marketing? Julian Boulding, from thenetworkone in London (and former Marketing Society Board Member) will share their 2022 Cannes Review.  We will also explore trends in production with LS productions.

Creative social media: How do leading brands and agencies infuse their social strategy with creativity? How do you convince clients, or how do clients convince senior managers, that a bold creative choice is worth the risk? Our panel will discuss some of their own successful campaigns and how you can use creativity to ensure effectiveness in all things social.

Creative tech: How do you embrace technology as an enabler of creativity and as a way to give meaning to brands beyond products?  We’ll look at a range of tech including AR, AI and gaming as a medium for using tech creatively and doing things differently.

Chaired by Rod Gillies, we'll be joined by:

Julian Boulding, thenetworkone
Sarah Drummond, LS Productions
Robin Gillie, Sunshine Communications
