For many of our members, one of The Society’s key benefits is access to inspiration and stimulation.
To assuage curious natures; to discuss what they've learned and how to turn this knowledge into business success.
A number of our members are keen readers and enjoy discussing business and leadership books. Others don’t have time or don’t read, but enjoy hearing about the insights from these books. Book clubs are also great ways to connect within a community.
That's why we've introduced our new Book Circle series. Each chapter features a published author in our community, with group conversations led by a Society Fellow. Together, we'll explore the insights and implications of the book.
Chapter Two: Marketing in the Boardroom
It's no secret: marketing punches below its weight in the boardroom. Often, boards perceive that marketers lack commercial credibility when compared to their peers.
Join us for the second chapter in our brand new Book Circle series on 19 May. Author, trainer, speaker and coach Ruth Saunders shares insights from signature chapters 9-11 of her book, Marketing in the Boardroom. From compelling marketing strategies to practical solutions, discover how to better understand the mindset and language of senior managers, and win over their hearts, minds and confidence.
Marketing in the Boardroom helps marketers to be more commercially credible and thereby more successful in the Boardroom.
In the book, Ruth explains the importance of marketing in the Boardroom, and why marketers often struggle to engage the Board. She then shows how to develop compelling marketing strategies that the Board will buy into, offering a mix of practical solutions and varied case studies drawn from her years of industry experience. In the final section, she helps marketers better understand the Board mindset and language, demonstrating how to win over the Board members' hearts, minds and confidence.
