David Ko is founder and lead coach at Humantyze, a business advisory and leadership development consultancy that helps senior leaders thrive in uncertainty, harness AI, and build resilient, high-performing teams. He partners with startup founders, CEOs, P&L owners, and functional heads to accelerate role transitions, sharpen strategic influence, and drive enterprise-wide change with measurable outcomes.
Before Humantyze, David led AI strategy for Asia at Ruder Finn, where he integrated cutting-edge technologies across regional operations and launched Asia’s first AI-centric solutions for crisis communications, automated analytics, and consumer insights. He previously led RFI Asia, Ruder Finn’s digital arm spanning Beijing, Shanghai, Singapore, India, and Hong Kong, pioneering digital storytelling and industry-leading analytics and customer journey mapping.
Earlier, David served as Asia Pacific EVP at WE Communications, overseeing multi-market operations, after founding Shout Communications (acquired by WE in 2005). He has also held leadership roles at Cisco Systems, Redback Networks, Hill & Knowlton, and Edelman.
Across three decades in technology, communications, and digital transformation, David has advised leaders at Edrington GTR, Prudential Asia, Manulife Asia, HSBC, L’Oréal Asia, Marriott International, Tencent, and many others. His coaching approach blends strategic clarity, behavioral science, and practical tools to create lasting leadership impact.
