Tom Gilbert

Group ECD and AI Lead, Design Bridge and Partners

Before joining Design Bridge and Partners, Tom’s creative career combined an incredible mix of roles; from product design, to teaching at Eton College, and working as both a Creative Strategist and Ethnographic Researcher for brands like Nokia and Electrolux. As a result, Tom’s approach is always practical-minded, solution-orientated, and above all, grounded in experience.

Tom brings 20 years of experience working across a variety of sectors and disciplines, leading multi-disciplinary teams to create brand identity systems and engaging brand experiences. A holistic global Creative Director, he spent 13 years in Asia helping international brands adapt to the rapidly growing market, and local/regional brands evolve for the international market.

Notably, in 2017 he founded, and grew, the now-thriving DBP Shanghai studio, and counted Wu Liang Ye, Starbucks, Carlsberg and Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts amongst his clients, earning significant industry recognition and multiple awards (Transform Asia, Pentawards and Marking Awards to name a few).

Tom is now Group ECD and AI Lead, based in the UK. Thriving on using design-thinking to tackle complex business challenges and driven by a passion for influencing culture for the greater good, he is dedicated to integrating AI, advancing technology, and evolving internal workflows, supported by specialised task force teams across the globe.
