The best advice I ever got…
My father was an entrepreneur and always set a great example by filling his life with adventure and fun. He believed the world was tougher for women so we had to aim higher and work harder.
The worst advice I ever got...
Early in my career I was told you had to be really tough on people to get results. I quickly learned that this was nonsense and counter to my natural instincts.
Don’t underestimate...
Priorities. As David Allen said: “You can do anything but you can’t do everything.” We all have the same 24 hours in a day. Align your time to your goals and your life’s purpose.
Don’t overestimate...
Success. It can lead to complacency. Failure and mistakes are part of the journey. It is what you learn from them that makes the difference.
The experience that taught me most...
Having kids reignites your wonder and reminds you what it was like to be curious. This pure joy can translate into the workplace.
The most fun I had...
I try to have fun every day. We have a great team atmosphere and I love the fact that I get to blend my family with my work.
The worst moments...
Are when you feel that you have let someone down. You cannot dwell on it but must work to improve every day.
My peak career experience…
