Which leader do you admire most and why?
Anyone who comes up the hard way and makes a success of it. I heard Muhtar Kent (CEO of Coca-Cola) speak recently and he was very impressive. Born in Turkey, went to University in Hull(!), emigrated to the USA and answered a small ad in New York to deliver Coca-Cola. Thirty odd years later he’s CEO and Chairman. As I said, very impressive.
Tell us a secret
Guinness really is good for you. Twice as many anti-oxidants than red wine and full of iron. When I was marketing Director for Guinness in Ireland I used to supply £100k+’s worth to the Irish Health Service to give to pregnant mothers. True.
