The Marketing Society India

Having been the UK's most influential network of senior marketers since 1959 and, expanding successfully into Hong Kong (2014), Singapore (2015), Middle East (2016) and New York (2017), we're delighted to have officially launched in India.

Our mission has always been to inspire bolder marketing leadership and, working out of India, we aim to become the place for discerning senior marketers to learn, develop and share best practice, mirroring that of our brilliant networks around the world.

With a programme of exclusive world-class events, global Excellence Awards, online Clubhouse and quarterly journal Market Leader, we aim to inspire and challenge wherever we go.

We have held five events this year in India, four Provocative dinners; two in Mumbai and two in New Delhi, and one Leadership Masterclass, with leadership expert Thomas Barta.

2017 started with the first dinner of our provocative series where we brought together 18 senior marketers to delve deeper into digital disruption and how to ensure we’re fully prepared to meet the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

We were joined by Kunal Shah, Founder & Chairman, FreeCharge for our second provocative dinner, where we continued to get under the skin of India’s biggest challenges in the marketing industry. The challenges discussed have helped shape the rest of our agenda for 2017.

This was shortly followed by two back to back events with leadership expert Thomas Barta, with our global partners Gain Theory. The first of the two was our dinner on Wednesday 7 June where we tackled the challenges CMO’s in India are facing, with an intimate group of like-minded senior marketers. The following day we had our leadership session with Thomas Barta who shared wisdom from his new book – ‘The 12 Powers of a Marketing Leader’. This was an exclusive workshop in the company of a small group of senior marketers to help develop their personal plans for success.

The latest provocative dinner in our series was held on Tuesday 24 October where we discussed how marketers can make the step from CMO to CEO. We were joined by Rohit Kale of Spencer Stuart who shared some key insights from their latest study, this dinner also featured a whisky tasting masterclass sponsored by The Macallan.

Our programme for next year is to host six events throughout the year, which will include Provocative Dinners, Inspirational Evenings and our flagship Brave Conference. The Society aims to bring in both global and local speakers from both inside and outside of the marketing/business world to provide inspiration and leadership advice.
