This week we meet Marketing Manager at Barclays and one of our Ones to Watch 2016.
What’s your golden rule?
I constantly remind myself that ‘This too shall pass’ – the famous phase that according to legend was written on the inside of the ring of King Solomon. This helps me overcome difficulties, because bad times won’t last forever, but also teaches me to accept success with modesty.
Who has been your biggest influence?
My mum. She taught me discipline, courage and desire to always strive for perfection. She taught me that you can’t always be liked by everyone, but what matters is to be at peace with yourself.
What is your most hated business expression?
I’ll have it on my radar – I think it means ‘leave me alone, I can’t be bothered to do this right now’.
What’s the smartest business idea you’ve ever had?
It’s not really an idea, but the realization that I need solid corporate experience before starting my own business.
Which leader do you admire most and why?
Mother Teresa, because she devoted her life to caring for the sick and poor and instilled in millions of people commitment to charity.
What’s your favourite word?
Quintessentially.
Tell us a secret
