Sholto is the Chief Sales & MarComms Officer for Expo City Dubai – the legacy city of the Expo 2020 World Fair and host of the COP28 Climate Conference in 2023. Expo City is now a major new destination within Dubai – a thriving business community, packed with residential, educational, cultural and entertainment offerings. 

Sholto originally joined the Expo 2020 Dubai programme as Chief Sales & MarComms Officer for the six-month mega-event, leading the 400-strong team who succeeded in attracting over 24 million visitors from across the globe to the spectacular event. 

Previously, Sholto was Chief Marketing Office at Hays, a global recruitment and staffing services firm, and prior to that held senior marketing and communications roles at the news and financial information firm, Reuters, and the UK-based Telco giant, BT Group.
