Richard is the founder of Fanbox, an entertainment fan platform built on the belief that genuine audience understanding, not demographic inference, is the foundation of effective marketing. Drawing on a decade of proprietary psychometric research spanning over one billion fans and seven trillion behavioral data points, he works at the intersection of audience psychology, media strategy and community design, helping brands and content creators understand how Gen-Z and Gen-Alpha actually think, choose and spend.

Previously Richard founded Colabox, which became the global standard for music fan engagement, working with over 3,000 artists including all 10 of the top 10 streaming artists on Spotify in 2019. A Routledge author with a forthcoming book on digital community design in the Metaverse, Richard is currently researching his next book on brand strategy in a post-cookie, AI-driven media landscape. He began his career in academic science, graduating from Cambridge University and enjoying the privilege of working with Stephen Hawking before shifting into the world of AI under the mentorship of Geoff Hinton.
