Volvo
Volvo Group is a major global manufacturer of transportation and construction machinery, with a strong ethos for sustainability – building tomorrow today.  

The Volvo facility in Motherwell is home to two Volvo brands: Volvo Construction Equipment and Terex Trucks. This site has been designing and manufacturing rigid and articulated haulers for over 70 years.  These monster off-road trucks are built for the world’s toughest conditions and are equally at home in the desert as in the bitter cold of the Arctic.  

The team in Scotland recently launched the first Volvo branded rigid hauler. The launch won Gold at The Marketing Society Star Awards and Jacqueline Reid (Global Marketing Director) was shortlisted for Inspirational Marketing Leader.

This year VELUX came on board as a supporter of our Student Marketing Societies programme.

The Velux Group has sales and manufacturing operations in more than 35 countries across the globe and employ more than 10,000 employees with their UK and Ireland head office based in Glenrothes. Their vision is to create better living and working environments using daylight and fresh air. They set a standard of excellence in everything they do from product quality, business conduct and responsible citizenship.

VELUX Marketing Director, Jim Coates has helped us develop a Student Marketing Society in 10 universities across Scotland and was involved with our SMS Gathering event earlier this year.
