What’s your golden rule?

Karma has no deadline: treat others the way you want to be treated.

 

Who has been your biggest influence?

My biggest influence has been my undergraduate professor, who later became my first employer. She recognised my potential, believed in me, and entrusted me with opportunities that shaped my career.

 

What is your most hated business expression?

Cringe worthy: “I’ve sent you the logo as high res in Word, is that okay? “

 

What’s the smartest business idea you’ve ever had?

Brandly.Works: Created a plug & play model where squad members can easily transition in and out based on client/project requirements. This flexibility allowed me to scale resources up or down, optimizing team composition as needed with the right expertise, but keeping overhead costs down.

 

Which leader do you admire most and why?

Jacinda Ardern's empathetic leadership and decisive actions during crises showcase the strength of compassion in governance, highlighting how women lead with both poise and elegance.

 

What keeps you up at night as a marketing leader?

Finding meaningful ways to make a positive change in our world.

 

Why is being part of The Marketing Society important for your career?

When great minds come together, the synergy can lead to innovation and new perspectives; and by harnessing our collective strength, we can all contribute to meaningful change in the world.

 

Why does marketing matter to you?

In a world oversaturated with information, marketing stands out as the storyteller that inspires action and drives positive change.

Lara is also a #BoyMom to 2 little boys and it’s taught her all the tricks about multitasking as a working mother because raising boys is truly an extreme sport!
