What’s your golden rule?

Always align communication with authenticity! Trust is hard to earn but easy to lose, and authenticity is the foundation for sustaining it over time.

 

Who has been your biggest influence?

My best and oldest friend. Her calmness and intuitive nature have always been a grounding force in my life. No matter how chaotic things get, she has this incredible ability to see situations from a peaceful and balanced perspective. She always inspires me to approach challenges with the same mindset - though I’m still a work in progress!

 

What is your most hated business expression?

'What's the ROI on that?' Measuring impact is critical of course! But this question often reduces marketing and communications to immediate and quantifiable returns, ignoring the broader value of brand-building, trust and long-term audience engagement. Not everything meaningful can be measured in numbers immediately ;-)

 

What’s the smartest business idea you’ve ever had?

During my years in China, I launched a small, niche fashion label that combined Eastern and Western design styles. It was actually more of an adventure than a business idea, but I learned a ton and enjoyed it very much.!

 

Which leader do you admire most and why?

I admire leaders who combine vision with integrity and work passionately for the greater good. Whether it’s someone advocating for gender equality, fighting for environmental sustainability or striving to make education accessible - the ones who stay authentic, have real passion and are resilient will end up having a real impact and drive change!

 

What keeps you up at night as a marketing leader?

The super fast pace of AI developments. Balancing my curiousness and excitement of leveraging all these amazing new tools with the responsibility of ensuring ethical, transparent and company compliant applications in marketing can be a challenge...

 

Why is being part of The Marketing Society important for your career?

Because it is like finally finding a room full of people who speak 'the same language'. It’s an energy booster and honestly a relief not to have to explain what I mean - everyone just gets it!

 

Why does marketing matter to you?

Because it’s about creating connections, inspiring action and shaping perceptions, it’s more than a selling tool - it’s storytelling, trust-building and most important driving REAL change.

 

Tell us something that’s not on your CV

I have an ability to mishear song lyrics and confidently sing them wrong for years - using the excuse of not being a native speaker ;-) My friends and family have given up correcting me and accepted this as "creative interpretation"...
