What’s your golden rule?
Relevance is royalty. In marketing, I believe in crafting campaigns that speak to consumers' hearts, making brands not just visible but vital in their lives.
Who has been your biggest influence?
Mark Ritson is my marketing muse. His fearless pursuit of truth in advertising and relentless focus on consumer-centric marketing has been an invaluable source of inspiration.
What is your most hated business expression?
"Business as usual." In today's dynamic world, the usual is the enemy of progress. I believe we need to keep exploring new paths.
What’s the smartest business idea you’ve ever had?
My smartest business idea was to revolutionize the design and launch of a ground-breaking digital proposition while working at a global bank. I discarded the conventional marketing playbook and designed an agile, collaborative approach involving stakeholders - effectively creating a start-up mentality within the traditional confines of a large financial institution. The results were fantastic and the process so much more enjoyable.
Which leader do you admire most and why?
I greatly admired the late Dame Zaha Hadid, the pioneering British-Iraqi architect. Her innovative designs and fearless approach to architecture challenged norms and demonstrated how unconventional thinking could reshape entire industries.
What keeps you up at night as a marketing leader?
That Marketing is recognized as a strategic driver of business growth, not just a department focused on execution.
