What’s your golden rule?

Transparent and trustworthy, always

 

Who has been your biggest influence?

It's not just one person, but many entrepreneurs who have inspired me with their desire to bring about change, their resilience, and their courage.

 

What is your most hated business expression?

We need to touch base

 

What’s the smartest business idea you’ve ever had?

One of my best ideas was the COVID Boiler Room sales initiative at InMobi (my former company). We brought together all EMEA sales and client servicing teams for a single day, rewarding them not only for their achievements but also for their efforts. This event fostered accountability, energy, and a competitive yet collaborative spirit, driving impressive results. It helped build a strong team bond despite the distance, as everyone worked toward a common business goal. During the isolating time of COVID, this initiative was especially powerful in uniting the team and overcoming the feeling of being siloed.

 

Which leader do you admire most and why?

There are many inspirational figures, but as a football fan, I have to mention Sir Alex Ferguson. His incredible attention to detail extended beyond just football; he took the time to learn everything about his players on a personal level, including their family and behavioural backgrounds, before even assessing their performance. He fostered a remarkable team mentality where the players believed that the world was against them, and by supporting one another, they could become unstoppable. A true leader in every sense.

 

What keeps you up at night as a marketing leader?

I often ask myself the same question: how can I bring value? How can I make marketing and advertising both effective and ethical? We live in a world where only numbers seem to matter, so I strive to combine efficiency with purpose.

 

Why is being part of The Marketing Society important for your career?

I want to help marketers to better understand and embrace ethical media practices and for my company to be at the forefront of ethical media in MENA.

 

Why does marketing matter to you?

The world is changing fast, every small effort we make now will count in generations to come. MENA has been a pioneer of Sustainable practices thanks to our leaders and Governments, I want to make sure that our industry takes full advantage of that without greenwashing.

 

Tell us something that’s not on your CV

I originally worked in kitchens when I was 16 and applied to the RAF as a cook but pulled my application as the hours were too gruelling!
