What’s your golden rule?
I have three:
a. embrace challenge
b. be honest with self
c. keep a soft heart
These three things are so key for both all aspects of success (as I define it), I think.
Who has been your biggest influence?
My wife and my two best friends, who have helped me to learn and live by the three golden rules above.
Why is being brave in business so important?
When we do brave things, it helps us to grow our skills and character, it leads us to new great possibilities, it is inspiring to follow a brave person and motivating.
What’s the biggest risk you’ve taken in your career?
Setting off on expeditions that I thought were very likely to fail (some of them did – but I learned a lot anyway and am still glad I did them – see question above!)
What inspires or motivates you every day to do what you do?
Trying to do as well as I can at scary creative challenges… whether that is carrying out an expedition, writing a book, or giving a speech.
If you could achieve just one thing in 2021 what would it be?
Finish writing my current book and for it to be best book yet.
