What is your most hated business expression? 

We are ‘on a journey’. Or any use of the word literally that is not in fact literal in any way. 

What’s the smartest business idea you’ve ever had? 

Launching Tennent’s Lager on Perfect Draft during lockdown – broke the Scottish Internet and a ‘solid’ ecommerce platform 4 times over

Which leader do you admire most and why? 

Chris Packham – leadership by modest education, allied to stubborn but inspirational belief in direction and purpose 

What keeps you up at night as a marketing leader? 

Legislative change in a polarised political landscape. Most other things can be influenced.. 

Why is being part of the Marketing Society important for your career? 

Learning from others in who they are and what they do – meeting great people and being inspired by great ideas and campaigns mostly outside of the sector that I know.

I once went on a TV dating show because Holly Willoughby asked me to.
