WWF Earth Hour Summit 2024

19 April, 2pm to 6pm

The WWF Earth Hour Summit 2024 stands as a crucial event, acknowledging and leveraging nature’s inherent power in addressing the climate crisis, aligning with corporate initiatives like Science-Based Targets and climate finance in Singapore and beyond. At the core of this summit lies the recognition that the synergy between nature conservation and climate action is essential.

Nature plays a vital role in both mitigating and adapting to climate change. However, climate change jeopardises ecosystems like coral reefs and forests, leading to biodiversity loss and exacerbating other factors harming nature.

The sessions, covering topics from achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions to understanding nature’s role in climate action, aim to foster an awareness of the interconnectedness of nature and climate, sparking collaboration.

The Summit will address current issues such as navigating transition financing complexities and adapting Science-Based Targets to the Asian context.

KEY THEMES:

1. Are we on track to achieve one-third of carbon abatement targets by Nature-based Solutions?
2. Corporate ambition in Asia - Enhancing bottom lines through environment action.
