Scotland: Trendspotting with STV

The Importance of partnerships in a disruptive media landscape

STV, 21 November, 4pm to 6pm

Our final Trendspotting session of 2019 will take place on Thursday 21 November, 4-6pm with STV at their offices at Pacific Quay, Glasgow.

Technology is transforming almost every aspect of our lives. Customers want more – more choice, more convenience, more control and deeper, more meaningful connections.

Businesses need to focus, flex, adapt and scale at an extreme pace to meet customer needs and remain relevant. But, in a complex, cluttered and somewhat uncertain marketplace how do we all work harder, better, faster, stronger?

The team at STV will discuss the importance of effective business partnerships and how working together is a win/win situation. The idea of 'they succeed, we succeed' can power innovation, growth, social impact and customer satisfaction. But what really makes a successful partnership, and what are the key challenges to working in an inter-business collaboration?

From content to commercial, data to distribution STV’s industry experts will share their experiences and their perspective on how partnerships are changing the future of broadcast media.

Trendspotting events are free for all Marketing Society Scotland members to attend. Non member tickets are £35 + VAT.

Members will receive priority until 31 October, after that non-member bookings will be open on a first come first serve basis, so please register your interest as early as possible.

Chairing the session will be STV’s Aileen Rushton, Creative Director - Brand and Marketing, with speakers:

Gill Petrie, Head of Marketing, STV
Remi Brunier, Director of Product, STV

Joining the STV team is Alex Hryniewicz, Head of Owned Channels at Little Dot Studios - a digital content studio and broadcaster specialising in production of original and brand funded content, distribution and monetization of video content across all social platforms.
