A half day experience, in partnership with HSBC and adm Group, and supported by Google, our conference will feature the industry's thought-provoking, inspirational speakers, who have each illuminated their own pathways to make you think differently, act differently and proud that you're a marketer.
For this year's conference, we'll be celebrating the region's leaders and stories that stand out.

Agenda for the day:

  • 3pm: Event opens

  • 3:30pm: Opening Address by Natalie Truong, CMO of Oceania by EY and Chair of The Marketing Society Hong Kong

  • 3:45pm (30-35 min): Under the Spotlight - The Journey from Finance to Luxury Hospitality, with Clement Kwok, CEO of The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels.
What is it about? After a distinguished career in finance, Clement Kwok has been CEO of The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, owner and operator of The Peninsula Hotels, for 22 years. We will hear about his journey at the helm of one of the world's finest hotel brands, as well as his vision for the future of luxury hospitality, sustainability, and the role of purpose in the organisation.

  • 4:20pm (20 min): Bringing BOLD to B2B, with Andrea de Vincentiis, Regional Head of B2B Marketing, APAC for HSBC.
What is it about? The opportunity to be bolder in B2B is huge. From the importance of creativity, investment in brand and nailing the ‘essentials’, this session outlines how B2B brands can ‘bold up’.

  • 4:40pm (20 min): From Tradition to Innovation: Reinventing Cultural Narratives through Artful Storytelling in Greater China with Aaron Lau, Founder & CEO, Gusto Collective & Henry Chu, Creative Director, pill & pillow.
What is it about? A fireside chat about the flourishing artistic landscape in Hong Kong, as it emerges as a global art hub within the vibrant cultural context of Greater China. This thought-provoking discussion will explore the intersection of art, innovative branding strategies, and the evolving landscape of storytelling as well as the unique perspective of Gen Z's approach to art and its impact on self-expression, aspirations and behaviour.

  • 5:00pm (30 min): Connections and Conversations Networking Break

  • 5:30pm (10 min): A PechaKucha session (Google it!) on Confessions of an Agency CEO, with Andreas Krasser, CEO, DDB Hong Kong.
What is it about? If you were to trust the LinkedIn feed of an ad exec, you'd probably think life in the industry is all rainbows and unicorns. However, reality couldn't be further from that. This short yet intense session provides a candid look behind the curtains of what it means to lead an agency - with its failures, lessons learned, and failures again.

  • 5:40pm (20 min): 'What's on the mind of Asia's marketing leaders?', a panel discussion with Dr. Yvonne Leung, Director of Customer Transformation & Growth, Bupa International Limited & David Kim, Group Chief Marketing & Strategic Business Development Officer, Vitasoy International.
Moderated by Kevin Huang, Chief Operating Officer for South China Morning Post.
What is it about? We’ll get insight into the pace and challenges of the modern marketer, the learnings of 2023 and outlook for 2024.

  • 6:00pm (20 min): Building the Business Case for ESG Marketing: Winning Hearts and Budgets, a panel discussion with Gill Meller, Legal & Governance Director, MTR Corporation Limited and Alan Corr, Global CFO, HSBC Asset Management.
Moderated by Natalie Truong, CMO of Oceania by EY and Chair of The Marketing Society Hong Kong
What is it about? Explore how to align ESG marketing initiatives with your company's broader corporate strategy, gaining valuable insights from the perspectives of CFOs and General Counsels. Hear how they are navigating the intersection of sustainability and business strategy to make a compelling business case for ESG marketing, convincing both hearts and budgets, and driving sustainable success.

  • 6:20pm (20 min): The story of Love21 leading the way and driving change through the challenges in Hong Kong's NGO sector, with Carmel Armstrong, Chief Operating Officer, Love21.
Moderated by Hina Wainwright, Chief Marketing Officer, adm Group.
What is it about? A fireside chat unravelling Carmel's journey from HSBC to Love21, (a registered charity empowering the Down Syndrome, Autistic and Neurodiverse community), and the remarkable story of Love21's success, challenges, support and dedication from volunteers and the community, especially on the back of rebuilding their amazing sustainable centre following a devastating fire earlier this year. A wonderful heartwarming and inspiring story on how Love21 continues to raise awareness and improve diversity and inclusion for their members. #somuchability
