We’re delighted to announce we'll be hosting an exclusive breakfast with HSBC's top Economist Mark Berrisford-Smith, taking place on Thursday 5 September at HSBC Canary Wharf.
Having studied Economics at Sussex and London Universities, Mark is now Head of Economics for HSBC’s commercial banking business in the UK.
He is responsible for advising the Bank in the UK and its business customers on developments in the British and global economies, within which remit he takes a particular interest in monitoring the performance of European countries, and also China. He speaks regularly at conferences, seminars, and lunches.
Mark will be talking about the politics and economics of Brexit and trade wars. Britain’s short-term economic prospects will be shaped by whether, when, and how the UK leaves the EU. Meanwhile, the short-term prospects for the global economy are being shaped by the twists and turns of the trade war being contested between America and China.
This is a great opportunity to learn from an expert in the field and find out what the future might hold for the economy after Brexit - a topic that affects every business in the country. Delegates will gain a better understanding of how to navigate their business in these uncharted waters and how this will impact the marketing industry.
