Future Leaders with Gerry Farrell

Our Future Leaders programme of events have been developed over recent years to provide insights and inspiration for Future Leader level members who are aspiring to senior roles in our industry.

Our third Future Leaders session will take place on Tuesday 9 August from 1:00-2:30pm with Gerry Farrell, Co-Founder of Gerry Farrell INK as guest speaker.

​​​Gerry Farrell is an Award-winning writer for Advertising, Design and Digital. As its creative director and senior writer from 1987 to 2014, Gerry built The Leith Agency’s reputation for creative excellence, winning numerous awards at Cannes and D&AD.  So too, Gerry has worked alongside both the Scottish and UK Government as a Public Service Communications Specialist collaborating on campaigns such as 'Extra Powers For Scotland' for the Cabinet Office at Number 10. Furthermore, he has written and creatively directed Integrated Marketing Campaigns for global brands such as Honda, Standard Life, Tennent’s Lager and Aldi. Now as a co -founder of Gerry Farrell INK he specialises in creating award-winning ideas that make a difference, assisting in areas from brand creation and development to coaching and mentoring. 

Gerry will be introduced and interviewed by Ailie Hutcheson, Senior Designer at Sunshine.

In this informal fireside-chat session, Gerry will discuss the creative process and how to turn inspiring briefs into big ideas and award-winning work.
