Earlier this month, teams from Universities all over Scotland travelled down to Tennent’s in Glasgow to take part in our first Student Marketing Society Gathering.
We welcomed teams from each of the Universities who have set up Student Marketing Societies with our support - Glasgow, Glasgow Caledonian, Edinburgh Napier, Dundee, Stirling, Queen Margaret and Robert Gordon’s Universities.
Rod Gillies, Head of Marketing at The Borders Distillery and our new Vice Chair, expertly chaired the event as each team presented an overview of their experiences and answered questions broached by Students and Academics from the other Societies.
After the student presentations, Duncan Frew, Commercial and Marketing Director of Tennent’s, inspired all the students to pursue a career in marketing with a personal insight into his career and his experiences and challenges faced along the way.
The event concluded with a pint of Tennent’s and a tour of The Tennent’s Story visitor experience.
