Ed Dandridge

Global Chief Marketing and Communications Officer

Ed leads AIG General Insurance’s global marketing and communications organization that markets and distributes products and services to commercial clients, individual customers and distribution networks in more than 80 countries, manages the AIG brand, sponsorships and partnerships and engages with external stakeholders.

In this role, Ed reports to General Insurance CEO Peter Zaffino and is a member of the General Insurance Executive Leadership Team. A recognized thought leader on customer experience, data-driven audience measurement, and high-stakes reputational risk issues, Ed’s industry experience spans the financial services, insurance, management consulting, media and information services sectors. Ed joined AIG from Marsh & McLennan Companies, where he was Chief Marketing and Communications Officer.
Previously, Ed served as President and Chief Executive Officer of The National Association of Investment Companies, a trade association representing private equity and venture funds. Prior to NAIC, Ed was Chief Communications Officer at The Nielsen Company; and earlier, was Vice President of Disney’s ABC Television Network. He began his career as an attorney in private practice in New York.

Ed holds a B.A. from Tufts University, with honors, and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He serves on the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia’s Economic & Community Advisory Council and is a member of the Executive Leadership Council.
A recipient of The CMO Award for Customer Experience in 2018, Ed has also been consistently recognized on Savoy Magazine’s list of 100 Most Influential African American Corporate Executives since 2012.
