Dana Khoury Eid

Mentor, Adjunct Faculty, Women & Student Empowerment, Marketing Strategy

I’m a highly accomplished senior executive marketer, strategically focused and recognized as a mentor, coach and team leader with over 25 years of FMCG, retail marketing, innovation, content creation, data analytics, communications, customer insights, CX and brand building experience.

I held the Director of Marketing position at PepsiCo where I spent 22 years growing and transforming the soft drinks, non-carbonated beverages, and snacks businesses. I later took on the VP Marketing position at Majid Al Futtaim (MAF), leading the Carrefour retail business across 16 countries. I have a track record of successful product, packaging and retail innovations, amongst them: Tropicana Frutz, Sting energy drink, Aquafina light weight bottle, Carrefour BIO (organic store) and Carrefour City+ (the first unmanned retail store in the Region).

I’m trilingual (English, Arabic & French) and hold an MBA degree from the American University of Beirut. I am no stranger to the academic world. Earlier in my career, I taught the ‘Principles of Marketing’ undergraduate course at the American University in Dubai. I’m certified in Higher Education Teaching (Harvard University), have been a guest speaker at AUB (eMBA program), UBC Canada (Leadership program), Murdoch University Dubai (Global Brands) and have delivered a successful “Predictive Analytics in Sales & Marketing” webinar attended by over 1,100 participants.

Teaching is my passion and I do it as a means to give back to society and share my rich hands-on experience with undergraduate students. I'm truly interested in teaching a Business Management or Marketing or Brand Marketing course - as a part-time faculty – and happy to be a guest speaker to any of the business/marketing graduate or undergraduate courses. Topics like CX, Innovation process and commercialization, Brand building & brand architecture, Loyalty programs with data analytics and customer segmentation, Retail and private labels strategy... are all subjects I've worked on in depth.

In addition to my career focus, I've dedicated my time to career coaching and mentoring as well as volunteering with various NGOs. I mentor corporate employees with REACH, The Marketing Society and Youth to Pro (and I also mentored the pioneering cohort of Saudi female employees at PepsiCo Riyadh). I currently give an online ‘Introduction to Business’ course to Syrian refugees through SSSP (https://smallschoolsupportproject.com/ ). I was an active member of the MOVE program at the National Charity School – Dubai, involved in empowering under privileged students with tools and skills to enter the professional world and also worked with Hadafi to empower local women entrepreneurs with business skills.
