Executive Head of Strategy, Starcom

Dan Plant is the Executive Head of Strategy at Starcom where he is responsible for turning Starcom’s Human Experience philosophy into real world experiences that consumers value. He is passionate about uncovering real insights into how consumers feel about brands in order to better connect with them and drive business results.
 
Prior to his role at Starcom, Dan was the Global Strategy Partner at Wavemaker (formerly MEC) working on a wide range of global and local accounts, including Netflix, Vodafone, Compare the Market, EE, Lloyds Bank and more. One of his biggest achievements was driving the media strategy for the launch of EE, the UK’s first 4G network – now the biggest one in the UK.
 
Across the 20 years that Dan has been in the media industry, he has developed and rolled out a number of planning processes (at MEC and Vizeum) and has worked on over 100 different brands in over 20 categories as both a strategist and comms planner. Once upon a time he even did a bit of regional press buying!
