Alistair Grant has been the political editor of The Scotsman and Scotland on Sunday since 2021, and previously covered politics for The Herald. He has been a journalist for almost a decade, and in that time has covered two referendums, three general elections, two Holyrood elections, a European election and two council elections. He has been based in the Scottish Parliament since 2017.
