THE PERSONAL GROWTH SESSION
Build your team’s resilience and wellbeing
To thrive through periods of change
This session reframes the term resilience, rather than endurance test but looks to empower us with tools to build and protect our levels of energy and wellbeing, especially when dealing with setbacks and times of change. To have the ability to process, recover, reset and respond with intention when conditions shift.
We’ll explore what actually happens to people and teams during change and why protecting our and each others energy and wellbeing is an essential part of our roles as marketers, in our every changing yet rewarding profession. Abby explores what resilience truly is and why it’s so important to build and protect our energy and wellbeing.
This session will build your understanding in what happens to us and others as we navigate through times of change, when dealing with set backs and challenges and empowers you with the tool and principles to build your resilience and wellbeing, by defining what you need, your non negotiables and importance of prioritising and setting boundaries around these.

Setbacks in life are inevitable, both the planned and the unplanned will always happen and while we as a marketing profession work together to reduce some of the the set back we experience, that are in our control ,that impact our day to day working lives, from lack of resource, alignment, changes in priorities etc, we must also look to embrace the changes that happen in our ever changing yet rewarding profession from new approaches, thinking, technology etc. that will constantly evolve.
My hope is that with all that is happening around us we focus on what we can do for ourselves and our teams to maintain our energy.

The Trust Challenge: Building trust in a cynical landscape
As marketing leaders, building trust is an essential part of our role. If we are to deliver on the true potential of marketing, to lead the long-term commercial growth agenda of our organisation, we need our board, executive team, peers and teams to trust us as a function, as leaders and as individuals. This trust extends to the decisions we make and the actions we take.
Growth Mindset, the power of yet
A growth mindset is more than just a belief—it’s a way of being. Those who adopt this mindset not only acknowledge that skills can develop, but they also demonstrate proactive and intentional behaviours with their actions and learning. They make time to develop and evolve, accepting that failure is part of the learning journey. Embracing the power of "yet" is key; for example, reframing by saying, "I don’t have the industry knowledge, yet."
Why is a growth mindset essential for marketers?
