Mark Fawcett

CEO & Founder, We Are Futures

Mark Fawcett is the CEO and founder of independent brand and social impact agency We Are Futures.

They develop strategies and programmes that help brands connect with young audiences, whether through CSR, employment opportunities or educating them in skills and knowledge that fall outside the curriculum. Clients include Samsung, Sky, NatWest, Hyundai and McDonalds

Mark began his career as a British Army officer and founded We Are Futures, then known as the National Schools Partnership, in 2004. Prior to that he was the training director at youth expeditions organisation World Challenge, where he later became head of marketing and ultimately managing director. In seven years, his team grew the number of annual adventures from ten to 350, massively increased the diversity of participants and launched the organisation in the US before its eventual sale to TUI.

Improving social mobility and opportunity for young people are two of Mark’s passions, borne from his time training army recruits and World Challenge. His agency is founded on the belief that doing good is a ‘win-win’ for companies, because improving lives also builds a brand’s reputation as a business and an employer. He is currently the Drum’s Purpose Awards EMEA Leader of the Year 2023 and a trustee of the British Exploring Society.
