Tell us about yourself! How did you end up at The Leith Agency?
I was lucky. I worked at a few cracking agencies and then I met Ed Brooke of Leith. Ed’s a hard man to say no to.
The Leith Agency has some pretty big clients. How does your role fit with their needs?
My role is focused on service. Any agency can meet your needs but not all agencies can exceed your expectations.
What’s your biggest career achievement to date?
Being appointed Board Director at Leith.
What’s the fundamentals of a good agency/client relationship?
Trust, brutal honesty and good humour. And then you need brilliant work. Without the work, the rest becomes obsolete.
Do you personally feel that the marketing industry in Scotland suffers with lack of gender equality?
Unfortunately, yes. If it wasn’t an issue we wouldn’t be talking about it (and I wouldn’t be reading about it every month in Campaign or Marketing Week). But the situation is improving.
Why is it important to be involved in events like this?
To drive positive change for the future of creativity.
