The first module was a highly stimulating three days which kicked off the programme with an introduction to marketing leadership and the importance of creating an inspiring sense of purpose for oneself, one’s team and organisation.
Across the three days, participants were inspired by seminars with marketing leaders from blue chip organisations and spent time starting to explore their own leadership style, challenges and opportunities.
Day 2: Defining a purpose
Delegates explored the unique frameworks and techniques, working with delegates to define their own personal purpose and the impact it has on others with Anni Townend.
Later in the afternoon Kerris Bright, Chief Marketing Officer, Virgin Media explored the importance of purpose in providing strategic direction for a brand as well as helping to engage customers, employees and stakeholders.
After this session, Bridget Jackson, Director of Corporate Sustainability, PwC challenged the delegates to think about the potential role they should play to establish sustainability as a primary focus for brands and organisations as they look to the future.
Then, before dinner, Craig Inglis, Customer Director, John Lewis shared his personal perspectives on the secrets of successful career development as a marketing leader.
The evening concluded with a networking dinner.
